Fredrick E. Michaud, 75, of Spread Eagle, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at his home.
Born March 7, 1944, in Iron Mountain, Mi., to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Smithson) Michaud, he grew up there and graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1962. After graduation, he served in the United States Army until an honorable discharge in 1966. He married Mary Jakups on March 22, 2002 in Iron Mountain and worked as a construction operator for Union 324 for 27 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and feeding the animals, but especially time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mary Michaud; a son, Gordon (Lisa) Michaud, Madisonville, Tn.; four daughters, Elizabeth (Terry) Luecht, Shawano, Erin (Tony) Robbinson, Niagara, Rebecca Vento, Vulcan, Mi. and Lynda Michaud; two sisters, Joanne (Dick) DeVore, Green Bay and Jeanette Sheldon, Felch, Mi.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Michaud and a grandson, Devin Michaud.
Per his wishes, private family graveside services will be held at Pembine Cemetery in Spring. Jacobs Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Iron Mountain, Mi. is assisting the family with arrangements.
