Lowell M. "Buck" Meeks, Sr., 62, of Peshtigo, passed away Friday, February 3rd.
Born in Isabella, MN, son of the late Corbett and Raeburn (Reynolds) Meeks, he was delivered by his father on December 12, 1957. June 6, 1976, he married Joyce Tonnar in Ontonagon, Michigan.
Lowell worked in the woods logging until age 23 when he started working splicing telephone cable. He enjoyed time with his family, fishing, hunting, NASCAR, Packer games, grilling, camping, drinking Miller Lite and chewing Coppenhagen. He was the backbone of the family. His kids, grandkids, and of course Joyce, were his life. He would give the shirt off of his back for anyone.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Bucky Jr., Larry, Lance and Karie; Grandchildren, Ashley, D.J., Abbey, Caleb, Lawrence and Maddy; siblings, Darlene, Bev, Jerry, Sam, Buster, Faron and Tammy; Also survived by many, many, many, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Sharon, Corby, Kristine, Marlea, Chucky, Randy, Jim and Tom.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, February 8th at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
