Dolores "Dolly" A. (Johnson) Heckel, 75, of Peshtigo, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at home.
Born April 27, 1944, to the late John and Mary (Brault) Johnson in Marinette, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1963. She was in the Girl Scouts for many years and looked forward to Bay Jammer.
Like her mother, she cleaned for a living and her last place she worked was Aurora Health Center. A member of Holy Family Parish, she enjoyed painting on plaster, reading, flowers, collecting coffee cups and was a huge wrestling fan.
She is survived by four children, Lea Heckel of Marinette, Michele (Scott) Peterson of Manitowoc, Melanie (Ken) Fuchs of Peshtigo and Michael (special friend, Traci Zimanek) Heckel of Menominee; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lynn Johnson of Green Bay and Irene (George Jr.) Heimbuch of Marinette; a niece; a nephew; special friends, Todd Klemme of Crivitz and the Otradovec family of Pound.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Gary Heckel and a brother, John "Muck" Johnson.
Per her wishes, no services will be held. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
