THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Issue Date: February 20, 2020
The Coleman School District along with Girl Scout Troop 4597 were recipients of a recent donation made by S.T.E.F. (Special Thoughts Everyday Forever) Foundation. This organization was started by Joe Kanack in honor of his daughter, Stefanie Kanack. Top photo pictured from left are: Joe Kanack, Don Engebregtsen-Archery Club Advisor, Melissa Auer-Ass't Leader for Troop 4597, and Kyle Johnson-5th Gr. Teacher. Each group received $500 for their program. The archery club will use the funds to purchase more archery equipment to help build the program. With the money the program plans on purchasing more targets, bows, and bow cases along with paying entry fees for competitions. Troop 4597 will use their funds for spring outdoor trips so the girls can learn more about the environment in Wisconsin. Another spring activity for the troop is to plant a garden. The fifth grade received $500 and it will be used to offset the students' cost of attending Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya in February of 2021.
