Loomis American Legion Auxiliary Unit 476 held their first meeting for 2020 on March 4 and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Ala with the Post. The Auxiliary was honored with a potluck dinner provided by the Post.
Interesting facts of the history of the Auxiliary was given by Janet Mullard. They were last seen standing on the slanting deck, with arms linked together and praying.
Linda Tarmann of the Pine Needles Quilters Group, presented Elmer Mullard with a quilt of valor made by their group. The groups then separated for the meeting.
The Auxiliary discussed their upcoming fundraisers and the annual reports which consist of their donations of time and money to help veterans and the community. "Bakeless Bake Sale" letters will be sent out this month to help send a delegate to Badger Girls State this summer.
Also discussed was that nominations and installation of officers is coming soon. There are some officers who would like to step down. Meeting closed with a prayer by Unit Chaplain Loretta Humphrey.
