Jim Szatkowski, 73, of Las Vegas, Nv., passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 after a short illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1946 in Marinette, to Leonard Szatkowski, Sr. and Frances (Atterberry) Szatkowski of Wausaukee, he graduated from Wausaukee High School in 1965 and served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970 including a 13 month tour in Viet Nam.
After graduating from UW-Oshkosh, he worked many jobs in the Milwaukee area. On Nov. 9, 1974, he married Marlene Hutton in Sterling Ill. and they had four children. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1990 where he worked for the School District before retiring in 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marlene; four children, Kevin (Hirouko) Szatkowski and Kim Szatkowski, both of Seattle, Wa., Kattie Szatkowski of Las Vegas, Nv. and Kyle (Leah) Szatkowski of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Leonard, Jr. of El Cajon, Ca. and a sister, Pat Martin of Las Vegas, NV.
His parents preceded him in death.
Due to the medical situation in the country, no services will be held at this time.
