Lorraine Marie (Couillard) Routheaux, 85, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Bay Area Medical in Marinette.
Born July 26, 1934 in Brampton Township, to Margaret (Webber) and William Couillard, she was raised in Brampton where she attended school. On Feb. 9, 1959, she married Leonard Charles Routheaux in Menominee and he preceded her in death in January of 1995. She worked at Robinson Furniture and was also a senior companion for several years, which she enjoyed.
She enjoyed fishing, boating, kayaking, going on picnics, time camping with her family, traveling and meeting new people, but especially loved to socialize with her daughter and friends at the bowling alley. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Escanaba.
Survivors include six children, Margaret (Rick) Smith, Cynthia Montgomery, Carla (Stanley) Porath, Ella (Roy) Forray, Pattie (Daniel) Heckel and Trish Routheaux (fiancé Dave Foreman); 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; two sons, Carl and Alfred Nyberg; a daughter, Christine Routheaux; two brothers, Donny and Howard Couillard and great-great-grandchildren, Ben, Aaron and Brianna Rudebeck.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will take place once restrictions are lifted and will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place in Wilson 7th Day Adventist Cemetery. Crawford Funeral Home of Escanaba is assisting the family with arrangements.
