Stephen M. Lacoursiere, 74, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, surrounded by his family.
Born Feb. 23, 1946 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Elmer and Mary (Sladky) Lacoursiere, he graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1964 and was a member of the 1964 State Basketball Championship Team. On Jan. 26, 1974, he married his wife Debra and they celebrated 46 years together. He worked for the United States Postal Service until retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed playing golf and trout fishing, but most of all attending his grandchildren's sporting events and socializing with everybody he knew. His contagious smile and love of life will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Debra; a son, Matthew (Billie) and their children Megan, Mattie and Samantha; a brother, James Lacoursiere and a sister, Suzie (Richard) Schmit.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marc and two sisters, Barbara Benesh and Mary Ann Laperriere.
Private family services will be held and burial will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rescue Squad. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family.
