Robert James Both, 62, of Wallace, Mi., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Born Sept. 28, 1957 in Milwaukee, he graduated from Waukesha High School and enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Germany. He married Lynette Leer in 2006 and she passed away in 2010.
In 2012, he met Kelley Heuser and they were together until his passing. He started Bot Apiaries in Neshkoro with his father, raising bees and selling honey. He drove truck professionally for many years and later started Heritage Turkey Farm in Waupaca where he sold Heritage Turkeys with Kelly for many years. The turkey farm was rated the Best Buy for Heritage Turkeys by Cooks Illustrated and America's Test Kitchen.
A life-long learner, he enjoyed researching new hobbies and interests and together they enjoyed raising and breeding goats, but especially loved the baby goats.
He is survived by his domestic partner, Kelly Heuser; a brother, Frank (Christine); a sister, Bertha Hulita; three nephews, Adam (Sarah) Both, Michael (Naoko) Mrugalski and James Hulita; two nieces, Sarah Verch and Andrea Hunley and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fran and Verla (Smedegard) Both and his wife, Lynette (Leer) Both.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
