Mary Jane (Jean) Borkovec, 95, of Peshtigo, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020.
Born March 6, 1925 in Minnesota, she later moved to this area. She married Orville Borkovec on May 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1991.
She worked as a cook at the former Anderson's Restaurant and the Colonial Cafe. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, watching the Packers and Brewers, loved her pets and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo.
Survivors include six children, Virginia Blantin of Arizona, Carol (Robert) Bray of Porterfield, Joann (William) Kehoe, Peter (Darlene) Borkovec, and Suzann (Dean) Tremblay, all of Marinette and Paul (Elaine) Borkovec of Arizona; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Orville, she was preceded in death by an infant son, David; a grandson, Joshua and a great-grandson, Reid.
Due to the current health restrictions, private family services will be held and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
