Robert A. Kass, 93, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 13, 1926 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Michael and Mary (Roehl) Kass, he graduated from Menominee High School and Michigan Tech University as a Registered Professional Engineer. He served in the United States Army during World War II and recently took part in the Old Glory Honor flight which honored him. He worked in Fond Du Lac and Milwaukee for many years and before retiring he returned to Menominee where he worked at the Courthouse in the Equalization Department and later as the County's first building code inspector.
A member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, he was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1887 and DAV Post 25. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of North Shore Golf Course.
Survivors include his nephews, Patrick (Liz) Kass and Steve (special friend, Gloria) Kass all of Menominee and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George and Louis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 17 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with Fr. Jubish Joseph officiating, followed by burial in Birch Creek Cemetery. Anderson Kell Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family.
