Their time in Northern Wisconsin was spent with loved ones and supporting the Klescewski-Leja VFW Post 7444 of Goodman-Armstrong Creek, where Corky was a lifetime member.
Corky never considered anyone a stranger. She loved meeting people and striking up conversation. She was known for brightly colored outfits and beautiful fingernails. In her final golden years, Corky enjoyed the company of Dennis Ewald of West Allis. The two could be found dining out, going for drives and being snowbirds in Naples, Florida.
