
Robert F. Cisco Issue Date: November 5, 2020 Robert "Bob" F. Cisco, 89, of Marinette passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area.
Born Aug. 22, 1931, to the late Daniel and Ruth (Cook) Cisco in Menominee, Mi., he graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1949 and then earned a BA degree in Economics at St. John's University. He also served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a mortgage loan administrator for Farmers and Mechanics Savings Bank of Minneapolis for 20 years until returning to Marinette in the mid 80's where he worked at several local banks in the mortgage department until retiring in 2000.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Catholic Central Athletic Club, Mortgage Bankers Association, where he was a past chairman, American Institute of Bankers, B&B Investment Club, Toastmasters, United Way, YMCA Indian Guides and Youth Suburban Football Program and also coached youth football, adult basketball and baseball.
He enjoyed racquetball, cross country skiing, golfing, softball, was an avid sports fan, loved following the Packers, had a longtime passion of collecting Packer memorabilia and was a charter member of the Packer Hall of Fame.
He also enjoyed watching the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers. Feeding birds was his hobby and he had a large collection of wildlife artwork and ceramic birds. He was a supporter of local sports and local and national charitable organizations.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia Waugus of Peshtigo; nephews, Steve Waugus and John "JD" Waugus; nieces, Eileen Kakida, Kathleen Waugus, Noni (Jim) England and MaryJo "MJ" (Doug) Blecher and seven great-nieces and nephews, Yuki, Rachel, Brian, Katrina, Danni, Nicole and Kelly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William (Donna) Cisco; brother-in-law, Everett Waugus and a niece, Peggy Gross.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph's Church in Marinette on Saturday, Nov. 7 from noon until time of the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m., with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating, followed by Military Honors. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
