
Anna M. MattsonIssue Date: November 11, 2020 Anna Mae (Grenier) Mattson, 90, of Marinette passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020.
Born June 28, 1930 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Leo and Mabel (Kuehl) Grenier, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1948 and worked at Lauerman's Department Store where she met the love of her life Merwin "Russ" Mattson. They married on Feb. 23, 1952 at St Ann's Catholic Church in Menominee. She also worked at Scott Paper for over 30 years.
In her 80's, she moved to Sun Lake, Az. and bought a home. She loved to sit on the patio and enjoy her view of the Lake. A member of Holy Family Parish, she was a longtime member of the Altar Society.
She loved time with her family, traveling, sewing and was an avid Packer fan. She made many friends over the years and was known as Auntie Annie by many.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Grenier of Chicago; nieces and nephews, Dan LaPrise, Kathy Brusky, Ann Unti, Mike LaPrise, Pat LaPrise, Tom Parthie, Karen Parthie, Kevin Parthie, Roger Grenier, Bonnie Keller, Robert Grenier, Leo Grenier and Cindy Crane and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russ; three sisters, infant, Helen Ann, Audrey LaPrise and Lenore Parthie and a brother, Robert Grenier.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Taylor St. in Marinette on Thursday, Nov. 12 rom 9:30 a.m. time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
