Henry R. "Hank" Sacotte Jr., 74, of Pembine, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at the Oscar G. Johnson Medical Center.
Born March 22, 1946 in Norway, Mi., to the late Henry Sr. and Shirley (Sundquist) Sacotte, he graduated from Pembine High School in 1964 and earned a degree in Civil Engineering at UW-Madison. He enlisted in the United States Marines in January of 1966, serving through January of 1968. A Vietnam Vet, he earned a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Rifle Expert Badge and Purple Heart Medal. He worked at the Pembine Mine for many years where he also served as a Union Officer.
In younger years he was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. His favorite pastime was karaoke, he had a great voice and enjoyed entertaining and spending time with his many friends.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne; three children, Henry "Rob" (Heather) Sacotte, Tina Kraut and Michael (Ann) Sacotte; 11grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (John) Corbin; a brother, Michael Sacotte; six brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Michelle Sacotte and Roberta Foy; a granddaughter, Katherine Foy and a sister, Kathryn Kelsey.
A private graveside service will be held at Pembine Cemetery with Pastor Melissa Drinka officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Pembine American Legion Post 461.
