LeRoy Charles Olson, age 76 of Crivitz, passed away early Monday Morning November 30, 2020 while sitting in his recliner
He was born July 28, 1944 to LeRoy and Imogene (Krause) Olson. LeRoy graduated from Crivitz High School. He married Carol Chaikowski on February 27, 1965. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. LeRoy was employed by Scott Paper Co./Kimberly Clark as a paper fitter for 38 years and retired September 2002.
He enjoyed hunting with his sons Mike from Minocqua, Mark of Suamico, and Matt from Crivitz. "I've been blessed" he remarked many times, LeRoy was proud of seven grandchildren, Mitchel Jordan and Jake, Mason and Brady and Willow and Axel.
LeRoy enjoyed caring for his lawn with lots of leaves in the fall. He was always taking note of the many birds on the Peshtigo River. Monday was the day the Lord chose to take him home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Imogene; his sister, Bonnie Jensen and his brother, Jerry.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; three sons, Mike (Michelle) of Minocqua, Mark (Jodee) of Suamico and Matt (Chassie) from Crivitz; one brother, Don (Elaine) and sister-in-law, Donna.
Funeral services will be held at Grover Community Church with Pastor Rod Efta officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 4. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mitchel and Jake "Chubs" Mason and Brady, Nephews, Jim and Dan Olson and friend, Scott Miller. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Middle Inlet. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Crivitz is assisting the family with arrangements.
