Loretta K. DellisseIssue Date: December 2, 2020 Loretta Kathryn (Loranga) Dellisse, 91, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 with her daughters by her side.
Born Oct. 23, 1929 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Alfred and Anna (Banach) Loranga, Jr., she graduated from Menominee High School in 1947. She married Arlend Dellisse on Aug. 21, 1948 at the former St. Adalberts Catholic Church in Menominee and they enjoyed almost 63 years together until his passing on Aug. 11, 2011.
A member of Resurrection Parish, in addition to being a great mom, she worked almost 30 years combined with the Herald Leader and the EagleHerald. She enjoyed playing bingo, making friends on casino bus trips and camping in her younger days, but her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Albrecht and Judy (Tim) Gallagher; two sons, Jim (Marie) Dellisse and Bill (Sandy) Dellisse; five grandchildren including, Jim (Jodie) Dellisse, Becky (Craig) Gensler, Pete (Nina) Dellisse, Gregg Albrecht and Amy (David) Woods; six great-grandchildren, Paige (Kevin) Korthuis, Holly Dellisse, Jim Dellisse, Keelan Dellisse, Grant Dellisse and Amber Woods; two sisters, Sally (Bob) Delaski and Beverly (Rich) Zorza; a brother, Frank Pearson; many nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Joy Pearson and JoAnn Pearson and other special friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Arlend, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Dellisse; a sister, Shirley Tanguay; three brothers, Fred, Donn and Warren Pearson and two sisters-in-law, Kay Pearson and Pat Pearson.
Because of health concerns, a private visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at Resurrection Parish with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding. All are welcome to attend the Mass.
