Judith A. Brown

Issue Date: May 12, 2021

Judith "Judy" Anne (Outcalt) Brown, 82, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 and is awaiting her reunion with her husband and love of her life, Robert This is the hope she had held since May 2, 1970, when she dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. To the end, she loved sharing this hope with anyone who would listen.

Born Jan. 27, 1939, to the late Elden and Anne (Ferch) Outcalt in Chicago, Ill, she later moved to Hermansville and Norway, Mi., where she graduated in 1957.

A vibrant woman, full of life, she loved her family and hosting others, had a beautiful voice and loved sharing songs with her friends and family, especially around a campfire. She enjoyed watching the sunsets at Lake Antoine, was an avid reader, whether spiritual or historical. She loved the outdoors, walking and camping while she was able.

She lived with her daughter Laura and son-in-law Kevin for the last six months in Aurora until she went to Freeman's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 31, 2021 where she was loved and treated like a queen until the end.

She worked many jobs over the years to provide for and take care of her family and was proud of being one of the first women to be hired at the Niagara of Wisconsin Papermill as a millwright, where she worked for 10 years. After that, she focused on ministry, teaching others about the Bible and conducted Bible studies until she went into the hospital.

Survivors include three daughters, Laura (Kevin) Bemis Aurora, Wi., Susan (Kevin Tank) Wolfe Glidden, Wi. and Elizabeth (Chris) Carlson Conover, Wi.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two step-grandsons; siblings Frank (Mary Lou) Outcalt and Pearl Kay Outcalt, both of Scottsdale, Az., and Helen (Jim) Walker, of Iron Mountain, Mi. and Arizona and many cousins; nieces and nephews along with her Kitty Kat for the last 10 years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown; two sons, Ever James and Andrew Robert and two brothers, Elden and Milo Outcalt.

Per her wishes, family services will be held. Donations are appreciated to jw.org (Donations Worldwide Work) or cards can be sent to The Judy Brown Family, c/o Laura Bemis, PO Box 3053, Kingsford, Mi. 49802. Jacobs Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Niagara Chapel is assisting the family. Condolences or tributes to the family can be made online at www.JacobsFuneralHomes.com
