Peshtigo Bags

Win Over Clintonville

The Peshtigo Bulldogs secured a four-set win over the Clintonville Truckers Tuesday night to defend their top spot amongst the M&O.

The Bulldogs took set one 25-17 before falling in set two 21-25. After the setback, the Bulldogs dug in for a 25-21 win and a 25-18 final verdict.

Jaci Tonn had a big night for the Bulldogs, getting 11 kills, two blocks, 11 assists, three digs, and two aces. Allison Peters posted 11 kills, 17 digs, and one ace while Presley Plym added up 13 digs and four aces. Emma Gilligan got three kills, 15 digs, one ace, and 22 assists.

Badgers Bury

Thunderhawks

in Three Sets

The Niagara Badgers were not going to be denied an M&O conference win last Thursday night. On their home court, the Badgers scraped up a three-set 25-15, 25-12, and 25-8 victory.

The win saw the Badgers go wild at the service line where 22 aces were obtained. Abby Wells and Emma Broullire led that charge with six aces apiece. Wells also posted two assists and six digs while Broullire added up five kills, one assist, and six digs. Morgan Borchardt had a great day as well, leading the team with seven kills, three blocks, 17 assists, and three digs along with three aces. Erin Lukowicz added up four aces while getting five kills and one assist.

Wausaukee Takes

Win Over Crivitz

After dropping a match to Crivitz last week the Rangers returned the favor with a three-set defeat of the Wolverines 25-22, 25-22 and finished strong with a win in the third set.

Wausaukee was led by Rachel Schlies who employed a strong net attack for seven kills. She also added up three blocks and four digs. Amber Caylor added up three kills, six digs, 21 assists, and three aces.

Panthers Pounce

on Marines for

Three Set Win

The Oconto Falls Panthers were tough, a little too tough for the Marines to overcome as the Panthers blasted the Marines in three sets 25-15, 25-18, and 25-13.

"We played some good volleyball tonight, said Oconto Falls head coach Rochell Otto, who had lost her voice leading her squad to the victory. "We really took care of the ball tonight which is what we needed to do to win this one. When our passing is on it opens up so many opportunities. My setter Hailey is such an important part of this team that I don't know how we will replace them at the end of the year. She always gets such a good jump on the ball. She really is one of a kind out there."

The win saw the Panthers' Emmie Magnin go wild at the net for 14 kills in the short night. She also had one ace and two blocks along with three digs. Haile Peitersen added up seven kills, 21 assists, three blocks, and 21 digs.

"I think what we saw tonight from our girls was a little rough," said Marine head coach Tayah Hampton. "In the locker room, I'm going to talk to the girls about taking the initiative more than we did. As coaches, we are looking at a million things at once. So it can be easy to miss a few mistakes. We just need to fix the things we can in practice better than we have been. That being said I think we saw some good things from our girls as well. They made some great plays. We have the passion to win it's just going to come down to taking that initiative. I've just seen them play better than this."

Oconto Falls Takes

Third At Pulaski Invite

The Oconto Falls Panthers had their hands full with the competition at the Pulaski invite. Taking on the very tough field of teams the Panthers were able to come away with a third-place finish.

Oconto Falls took wins against Green Bay NEW Lutheran 25-22 and 25-11 and Marinette while losing to West DePere 21-25, 25-13 and 8-15 and Kewaskum 23-25 and 20-25.

Suring Defeats

Coleman in Dual

The Suring Eagles took a win in Coleman last Tuesday night, defeating the home court Cougars 25-21, 25-18, 18-25, and 25-12.

Suring's winning effort was led by Bailey Stuart with five kills, two digs, and four aces. Christine Sleeter posted four kills, two assists, three digs, and an ace while Kate Mahoney finished the night with 15 assists and two digs.

Coleman's Kylee Tadisch got 13 kills on the night along with three blocks. Aubrey Bintz posted four kills and one assist.

Crivitz

Defeats STAA

The Crivitz Wolverines got a three-set win over the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers Tuesday night 25-6, 25-10, and 25-9.

"We just make do with what we have left," said Crivitz coach Molly Meyers. "This team we played tonight has never played together before. They did very well all things aside. I'm glad we were still able to field a team and it was good to see the girls fill into spots they have never played before."

Wausaukee Gets

Win Over Lena

The Wausaukee Rangers were the night's winners against the Lena Wildcats Tuesday evening, winning after four sets 20-25, 25-17, 31-29 and 25-20.

Wausaukee's Autumn Schroeder posted 10 kills and one dig while Beth Schaal got 17 digs, four blocks, two kills, and one assist.
