Nancy M. CummingsIssue Date: January 6, 2022 Nancy M. Cummings, 83, of St. Petersburg FL, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy M. Cummings was born on December 5, 1938 in Menominee MI, the daughter of the Late Anthony (Tony) & Maye (Peterson) Darga. Nancy graduated from Coleman High School class of 1957. She met the love of her life at the Wausaukee fair. Nancy and Lowell were married September 26, 1959 at St. Leo's Church in Pound WI, and then settled in Milwaukee WI where she worked at the hospital and raised their three sons.
They would vacation at the family cabin in Athelstane WI for many years. She enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing, traveling, her flower gardens, reading, going out to dinner, and being with friends and family.
After Retiring, the couple settled in Lakewood WI, where they spent most of their time outside on the Golf Course. They had many Amazing years together "UpNorth" relaxing with their dear friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, volunteered in the hospitality area, the ladies resale shop in Marco Island, belonged to the Lakewood Lioness Club and Ladies Red Hat Group for a few decades. Lowell and Nancy celebrated 47 wonderful years of marriage.
After her husband passed away, her special dog, Trixie filled her days with comfort and joy. She started spending winters in Florida, to be close to her sons. This past year she made St. Petersburg Florida, her permanent home.
Nancy is survived by her three sons, Michael (Judy) Cummings Pewaukee WI, Robert (Paula) Cummings, St. Petersburg FL and Thomas (Trish) Cummings, Greenwood Village CO. She adored her 9 beautiful Grandchildren, Ashley Cummings-Almodovar, Luke, (Catherine) Cummings, Samantha (Joe) Catanzaro, Ali (Austin) Schinkten, Taylor (David) Mort, Macki Cummings, Jake (Maddie) Cummings, Miles Cummings and Anna Cummings. Countless Loving Great Grandchildren, Madisyn, Maddix, Stella, William, Avery, Leo, Jackson, Makena, Maxwell and three new baby arrivals due in 2022. They brightened her days and filled her heart with Love. Four sisters, Jayne (Robert) Blackbourn, Coleman WI, Patty (Ted) Engelbart, Hustisford WI, Debrah Manchego, Green Bay WI and Diane (Rod) Marquardt, Coleman WI. And many Nieces and Nephews, who love spending time with Aunt Nancy! She also was a Godmother to a handful of them.
Preceded in her death were her beloved husband, Lowell Cummings, Parents Anthony & Maye Darga (Maye Klukas), sister Aileen Rysewyk and both sets of Grandparents.
There will be an intimate "Celebration of Life" on Friday, January 21st, 2022 in St. Petersburg, FL at Shore Crest 1200 North Shore Dr NE.
A Christian burial will be held this Summer in Athelstane, WI where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband. Condolences to the family may be sent to this number. (920)-883-8873 Text only please, and include your full name.
