Marion C. Zeitler

Marion C. (Alfredson) Zeitler, 93, formerly of Pound, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022. 

Born May 26, 1928 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Agnar and Bertha (Rasmussen) Alfredson, she graduated from from Menominee High School in 1946 and married Earl R. Zeitler in 1950.

A homemaker, she devoted her life to her family, raising seven children and delighting in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved and supported each and every one of them. Through the years, she also worked in a variety of customer service positions.

An active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coleman, she served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and was also involved in the Bible Study, fellowship and service projects of the Ladies Aid.

A lifelong learner, she was an avid reader and a founding member of the Earl's Girls Book Club, composed of her five daughters and three granddaughters. She belonged to the Equity Homemakers Club for over 50 years and participated in their read-aloud program for Coleman area preschoolers.

She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, flower gardening, bird-watching, cheering on the Packers and traveling. Her trips included China, California, the Caribbean, Niagara Falls and Canada, the East Coast, Florida, New Mexico and Texas.

Surviving are six children, Beth (Dan) Sillars, Wausau, Bob (Robin) Zeitler, Peshtigo, Judy (Kenny) Noice, Pound, Sherry (Jerry) Eggener, Marinette, Sandy (Terry) Skarda, Green Bay and Kerrie Zeitler (fiance, Dwayne Woelfel), Texas; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Loomis, Marinette; in-laws, Joan Alfredson, Menominee, Edna Zeitler, Appleton, Laverne (Bob) Rouse and Dale Berman, both of Peshtigo and Glenn (Barb) Zeitler, Missouri, along with many nieces; nephews and cousins.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Earl; a son, David; a grandson, Matthew Mursau; brothers, Agnar, Soren (Carol) and Richard Alfredson; a brother-in-law, Raymond Loomis and other relatives.

Family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, May 23 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coleman with visitation at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon, with Pastor Matthew Langebartels officiating.
